Pop Mammary Original Painting

$3,000.00

Pre Order Limited Edition Prints Here.

30”x40x2” acrylic on stretched canvas

Unframed. Eye hooks and coated wire installed for hanging.

Framing available for an additional cost. Inquire for pricing.

Pop Mammary is modeled off of the anatomical structure of a lactating breast.

Did you know lots of mammaries can lactate? You don’t have to have ovaries or a uterus to breastfeed since the hormones that cause milk production (prolactin) and milk ejection (oxytocin) are released from the pituitary gland that is at the base of everyone’s brain. From The Lactation Network: Many parents who adopt or are in a same-sex relationship where they are a non-gestational parent can successfully induce lactation. Because parents who haven’t given birth do not have pregnancy hormones to stimulate their milk production, they often need more information and support to make breastfeeding a reality. This can be in the form of nursing supplementers, medication, breast stimulation with a breast pump or other device and through hormone treatments.

How cool is that? If you’re interested in learning more, check out the link to the Lactation Network above or consult with your doctor.
